ALUMNI OUTREACH PROGRAM:
Distinguished alum William Lazurus volunteered to begin and supervise
the Alumni Outreach program "Meals with Alums" in an
attempt to unite undergraduate students with alumni in thier field
and allow them to spend some quality time together, over dinner,
coffee or however the parties involved find it most
appealing to spend. This is a great opportunity to ask the questions
you want answered about law school admissions, choosing a law
school, what it might be like, choosing an area of law, or choosing
law as a profession in the first place. Also, meeting and forming
relationships with alums is not a particularly shabby way to get
tips (or help) finding a job later on. I hope you all seriously
consider this opportunity and take advantage of it as quickly
as possible. That said, the program will work as follows: you
send me your name, email address, phone number, and description
of your
areas of legal interest. I'll add those to the list compiled from
several groups of legally oriented RSO's. Then, involved alums
will choose students in their fields and call them up, offering
to meet with them at some point and just have some friendly conversation.
